We were visiting family in the Seattle area last August and took the opportunity to visit Kerf Design.
It was great to see their shop and to work with Shara Liou directly, after many months of collaboration via email. At the time of our visit, the design was pretty much as it appears in our November drawing package. During the subsequent months, it went through some further refinement, adding a layering of technical detail related to under-cabinet lighting (they provide a super-slim LED strip routed into the underside of cabinets – no valence!), how to handle the ventilation hood exhaust, etc. After a few rounds of technical drawing review, we gave them the green light to move into production in early March.
